Colonel of Wisdom - part 16: Home, Conflict
My house isn’t actually messy, it just looks messy.
Homelessness shames us doubly, for we allow it in a world of plenty.
It sure is miserable to be sick. Being homeless, sleeping in filth, in the cold, and being sick, is about as miserable as it gets. How can we allow this great sorrow in our thriving cities?
Acting rightfully even when nobody else knows is the hallmark of spiritual maturity.
Sue someone. You may as well point a gun at their head. Don’t expect much courtesy from them thereinafter.
Handle conflicts graciously and confidentially. Don’t force your adversary to surrender their dignity. “Saving face” is often more important than equity.
The most painful wound is the bloodless one in your heart.
