School kids have a special name for the visionaries among them: nerds.

A spiritual duty rests on the shoulders of all in authority to show respect to those under their control. God watches over these vulnerable charges. The actions of parent, boss and official are carefully weighed on the scales of karma.

Musicians, poets, writers, actors and artists all strive to utter the “Word” - as in, “In the beginning was the Word.”

In any conversation say no more than 50% of the words and you will be practicing The Greatest Healing Technique: Listening.

A Modern Scourge: unsolicited advice. Yes, I know that vitamin C and plenty of liquids will help with this cold. Thank you, I should probably take my car to the mechanic to see about that grinding, screeching noise in my engine. I do need to see a doctor about the compound, multiple fracture in my leg; pardon me while I get in this ambulance. I’m trying to be patient with your need to “help me.” However, could you please precede your suggestions with this question: May I offer you some advice?

Each morning, shake off your old thoughts, dump all your beliefs and dismantle everything you know about yourself. Start over each day and build yourself a new life.

Yesterday’s revelation is today’s dogma. What was profound, is now cliché. Past awakening has no power to save you from present despair. Have the courage to discard your rehearsed prayers and dive into untamed Truth. Then do it again tomorrow.

I sure miss the days, way back when, when the music was sweet, slow and a little sad.

Musicians should be paid by the number of notes they play. How about one dollar per note?

Don’t worry about forgiving anyone else. Just forgive yourself. Forgive yourself for the mistakes you’ve made, for your poor choices, for being at the wrong place at the wrong time and for not being powerful or smart enough to help yourself or the ones you love. Forgive yourself and your heart will heal.

Numbered are the days that violence rules this world.

This world has no eyes for things spiritual. Jesus, Mohammad and Moses could be walking down Main Street together, with beams of light shooting out of their head, and no one would notice.

The more anxious the audience, the more notes I have to play to keep them entertained. For the most peaceful gatherings, I can play just one note and the audience will report they heard a masterpiece. Although, I will fill that note with the songs of Heaven.

I’ve entered the milieu where I use words like “milieu.”

Of course I believe in soul mates. I even know where mine lives: in Outer Mongolia, in a yurt.

Men and women are imperfect copies of the God and Goddess. These are for companionship, and Those, for worship.

For too long have Artists and Visionaries been persecuted. For too long have we been bullied and even killed. Sensitive souls no longer need fear volent men. We may summon spiritual powers stronger than swords and bullets and will bring our precious gifts to the world. Small minds will not fall the next Socrates, Galileo, John Lennon or Martin Luther King.

A world separates “what may be right” from “what is right.” Chose the latter and surround your live with the ring of solid Truth.

We often accept the familiar bindings of slavery sooner than the scary wildness of freedom.

Sex is like electricity. It only has power when flowing.

Never feel guilty about the personal time you take to develop your Inner Self. It is your only real possession of value.

Well, I don’t know if I have a soul mate. I know, however, I have an “anti-soul mate.” I am dating her.

Turns out that dark, painful place in your heart holds the greatest hope. So loving and tender was that part that it got hurt bad - but when healed, will light up the world.

People speak on two levels: tonal and factual. Meaning is found in the first, detail in the second.

Never underestimate the public’s desire for stupid TV. A producer never lost money peppering a show with unnecessary violence, sappy emotion or potty humor.

When does genius become a justification for aberrant behavior and not a cause?

Go nowhere and be with no one unless it is good for your gentle heart.

The shame you feel from your wrongful deeds carries its own punishment; prison cells can never inflict as much suffering as self hatred.

How can you tear down the wall around your heart when you can’t even find it?

When no doors open for you in the outside world, open doors to your Inner world. They too lead to the fulfillment of your desires - perhaps more directly.

HOOKER
To attract love, we dangle hooks from our body, baited with sex. When something yummy bites, we reel it in.
-Problem 1) Cross purposes: the “catch” wants what we advertised: sex. When we change the rules and request companionship, they may turn off. Then we call them “emotionally unavailable,” yet intimacy was never represented as the purpose for the relationship.
-Problem 2) Low Self Esteem: treating the jewel of sexuality so cheaply shows low self-worth. Anyone who values themselves so little does not feel deserving of a fine partner and is apt to choose unwisely. And moreover, will drag down any relationship with the weight of their internal baggage.
-Problem 3) Unrealistic Expectations: a person with such low self esteem searches for a savior - a Knight in Shining Armor or a Fairy Princess who will magically repair their broken life and make it shiny and wonderful. Any chance such high expectations dooms a relationship?
-Problem 4) Off Balance: if our sexual energy is flopping around off center, we will likely have general relationship troubles, “performance” issues or sexual health problems.
If you remove the hooks, protect the sanctity of your sexuality, and only attract from the heart, you show yourself great respect. Sexual health and potency is sure to follow. And those then drawn to you will truly be in love with You.

I worry about this country running out of gasoline. That’s why I urge people to siphon gas out of their cars and back into filling station pumps.

Changing your world of perception is difficult. Changing the world’s perception, more difficult still. But this you must do - first one, then the other.

The Cycle of Non-recognition:
1) Feel unrecognized for who you are
2) Seek approval
3) Give to others to get approval
4) Received back less than you feel you deserve
5) Get mad and/or inappropriately take what you feel you deserve
6) Suffer disapproval or punishment
7) Go back to number one.
Solution: recognize yourself. You can start by changing the mean, critical words you say to yourself all the time, to kind “self talk.”

The spiritual world appreciates honest intentions. The human world cares only about results. Cover all bases: be honest and get results

Open your mind and you’ll transform your problems.

The most powerful “Prosperity” technique: wish others prosperity.

Advertising is all about creating the appearance of honesty and value - not actually being honest and valuable. Isn’t that just lying?

Channel your lust from her or him, to Her or Him.

If you are looking for a lifelong partner, why would you want to rush it?

We’ve all known “Dream Catchers” and “dream crushers.”

The arc of awareness from taking psychedelics is opposite that of spiritual practice. The former starts with a blast and diminishes thereafter. The latter comes on gradually and expands forever.

Every citizen should be allowed to choose in all matters except one: when they intend to harm others.

All the guys who sell books about getting rich got rich selling books about getting rich. What’s up with that?

The only immortal soul is Death. He was alive long before Life was even a dream and will be around long after Life has faded from memory.

Find an art that can support your passion. Thankfully my cello is large enough to hold a part of mine.

How long do we stay loyal to wrongdoing to avoid the humiliation of admitting our prior loyalty was wrong?

Can you forgive yourself the greatest shame: forgetting you are sacred?

We wait for the world to approve of our life (until, say, love appears or we get rich), before we will be kind to our self - and even then perhaps not.

1000 formal acts of good manners does not show the graciousness of one sincere act kindness.

Do you look into the eyes of “beautiful people” hoping to see them saying back to you, “You’re beautiful”? How about, instead, looking to see that in the eyes of those who love you?

I must have been tired that morning. I thought my wife told me to go to my boss and demand a “raisin.” Ooops.

Sex and money are two sides of the same coin. Both are about survival and comfort. They are even interchangeable - money can easily be exchanged for sex, and sex, for money.

The world of Magic cannot be entered frontally. One can only enter it blindfolded doing back flip.

You’ll not find power in the future if you’re looking to the future for your power. Power is found now.

Our culture will use every means at its disposal, even lethal force, to chain you to its vision and keep you under control. Yet, it is dependent on visionaries who break free, to move culture ahead… and, will worship those visionaries, once it has them killed.

Often, only lonely or broke, is one allowed to enter the realm of Wisdom. God can be a bitch.

You can know by this measure precisely how much you don’t recognize the greatness of yourself: exactly as much as the world doesn’t recognize it.

To be seen, truth need do nothing more than allow its light to shine.

Only the lovely, secret world inside the heart can make it all worthwhile.

Great Art has the power of Medusa: those who gaze in its direction are immobilized.
